Aileen Florell, born 1959 in Sweden.

Degree from Stockholm University in Chinese and Nordic languages. Two years of further studies in Chinese at Xiamen University in China. Studied Chinese calligraphy under Chen Xiuqing, professor of calligraphy at Xiamen Institute of Industrial Arts. 

Ceramics certificate course, Helsingborg, Sweden (in Sweden’s historic ceramics district). Has taught and managed a ceramics studio in Stockholm, in addition to working as a proof reader, translator and schooner sailing instructor.

Curator at the Celadon Gallery 2000–2010, a clay art gallery in Water Mill, NY. Currently designing and working ceramics in East Hampton, New York.
